Personal Commitment
I have aspired to be an orthodontist since I was a young orthodontic patient. My desire was to be involved in a profession that could positively change people’s lives, while challenging the mind artistically and scientifically. After years of dedication to attain my educational goals, my personal commitment is to provide quality orthodontic care to the best of my ability with careful consideration for each person behind the smile.
Educational Background
I have sought a superior education based in science that later gave emphasis to a humanistic approach to patient care. My orthodontic program accepted three residents per year out of hundreds of applicants. It emphasized early orthodontic intervention, comprehensive adult diagnosis and treatment planning, as well as management and treatment of complex surgical orthodontic cases. Particular attention was focused on the functional side of orthodontics keeping not only the teeth in alignment but the entire jaw system in harmony.

Continuing Education
As a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, I have made a commitment to maintain the highest level of care and present my work to be judged by my colleagues. In order to continue providing advanced orthodontic care, a commitment must be made to obtain advanced education. My participation in advanced education includes areas such as diagnosis, treatment planning, biomechanics, growth and development, as well as staying current on recent issues in general dentistry.
Over 40 hours of continuing education are taken each year in excess of the Michigan Board of Dentistry requirements.
Personal Background
When not involved with orthodontics, I can be found sharing time with my family. We enjoy playing sports together, watching sporting events, spending time outdoors, and playing board games. I also enjoy running and golf, but my most precious time in life is the time spent with my family.
